We at Red Frame Videography have recently purchased a whole slew of new equipment. We cannot wait to break these out at your wedding! Amongst the new items are: a DJI Phantom 4 drone, a Panasonic GH5 camera, a Moza Air gimbal, and two Vanguard VEO monopods.
DJI Phantom 4 drone: Red Frame Videography has always been a big fan of drones and this could easily become our favorite piece of equipment. As if state-of-the-art GPS and image stabilization weren’t enough, this drone’s battery will last almost four times as long as our previous drones’ battery, which will allow for longer establishing and tracking shots. The video and image quality from the Phantom 4 are absolutely amazing! Think of it as a drone and a camera instead of a drone with a camera accessory attached.
Panasonic GH5 camera: Joining our Cannon C100 cameras is the Panasonic GH5. Known for its impressive internal stabilization capabilities, the Panasonic GH5 is ideal for cinematic wedding shots. The GH5 also shoots in up to 180 frames per second so Red Frame brides and grooms can look foreword to seeing jaw-dropping slow motion shots in their wedding highlight reel.
Gimbal and monopods: As impressive as the internal stabilization on today’s cameras can be, it should not solely be relied upon to obtain the best shots. This is where a gimbal and monopod come in. The Moza Air gimbal will create astonishingly smooth motion shots as we document the bride and groom’s day. Ascending staircases or bumpy limo rides will no longer result in jerky footage. Monopods will allow Red Frame to shoot more productively on the fly and get better shots in less spacious environments, as they do not take up as much space as a tripod, nor do they take as long to set up.
Every day we learn something new about our equipment and Red Frame Videography cannot wait to put our knowledge to good use at your wedding!
